Priests

Prabhakara Bhatt, PhD (Kannada, Hindi, English, Sanskrit)

Dr Bhatt, (Prabhakara), is the very foundation of our temple. He is an enlightened guide and mentor for all of us here. A retired professor of Engineering from The Glasgow University, he spends his valuable time guiding our community in Scotland.

As the head priest, Prabhakara has developed the full range of services which the temple offers to the devotees. Prabhakara brings with him the wealth of knowledge and experience he has accumulated visiting various religious places around the world and by conducting hundreds of services both at the temple and all over Scotland and the North of England.

Dr Bhatt very diligently carried the responsibilities of Hindu Chaplain at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. He has been an invitational speaker at The Glasgow Cathedral. Prabhakara is very open and welcoming to people of all faiths and no faith.

Dr Srihari Vallabhajousula (Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, Sanskrit)

Sri, a Consultant Surgeon employed with the NHS, is a also a Vedic Scholar accredited by The Oxford University. A thoroughly driven and spiritual individual, his Vedic processes are a sight to behold. Sri is a member of the multi-faith chaplaincy team of City of Glasgow college and advisor for Kilbryde Hospice. Sri's main areas of interest is conducting Homam and recital of Stotras and organising community events. In his role as multi-faith chaplain, Sri provides support to people of all faith and no faith.

Mr Narasimhan Sampathkumar PhD (Tamil, English, Sanskrit)

Dr Narasim, (Narasim Iyer, Adiyen Narasim), an export to Scotland of India's multi-awarded IT industry, is a Software engineer with a Multinational behemoth, guiding us with his encyclopaedic ancestral knowledge. Narasimhan brings extensive knowledge of the conduct of Abhisheka, recital of veda in Krishna Yajur Veda tradition, Prabandha recital and Alankarana (decoration).
